Beauty Culture Course in Delhi: What a 6-Month Diploma Actually Covers

Beauty Culture Course in Delhi – 6-Month Diploma at PD’s Beauty Salon.

Quick Summary:

A beauty culture course is the most complete beautician training you can do — not one skill, but every core service a professional salon offers. Our 6-month Beauty Culture Course at PD Beauty Academy in Rohini covers skincare, facials and facial massage, Hydrafacial and ozone facial, waxing and threading, salon management, client consultation and business skills. You finish with a certified diploma. The fee starts at ₹39,999, with instalments available. Here’s what the diploma covers, who it’s right for, and how it compares with shorter courses.

Every few weeks, someone sits across from me at the academy and says something like this:

“Didi, mujhe sirf ek cheez nahi seekhni. Mujhe apna parlour kholna hai.”

That one sentence tells me which course she needs. For one skill — cutting, makeup, styling — a short course is perfect. But when you want to run a parlour, or become the beautician a salon can trust with any client who walks in, you need the full picture. That’s what a beauty culture course is for.

What Is a Beauty Culture Course?

“Beauty culture” is the traditional name for complete beautician training. You’ll see it used by polytechnics and established institutes across Delhi, and it means the same thing everywhere: a structured course that covers all the core services of a beauty salon, not just one.

A short course teaches you a skill. A beauty culture diploma teaches you a profession.

At PD Beauty Academy, the Beauty Culture Course is our most comprehensive qualification. It runs for six months and ends with a certified diploma. And because our academy runs inside our working salon in Rohini, you learn the way salon work actually happens — with real clients, real timings and real expectations.

What You’ll Learn in the Beauty Culture Course

Skincare, facials and facial massage. This is the heart of most parlours. You’ll learn to understand different skin types, assess a client’s skin before you touch it, and choose the right facial for her — not just the one on the price list. You’ll learn cleansing, exfoliation, massage techniques and the correct order of a professional facial, so that every client leaves with skin that feels genuinely cared for.

Hydrafacial and ozone facial. These are two of the advanced facials clients ask for most in Delhi today. You’ll learn how each treatment works, which skin types and concerns each one suits, the step-by-step procedure, and the aftercare advice to give clients. A Hydrafacial deep-cleans and hydrates in one sitting, which is why it’s so popular before weddings and festivals — I’ve written about what a Hydrafacial actually does. An ozone facial is a strong choice for oily, acne-prone and pollution-tired skin, which is very common in Delhi — more on that in my guide to ozone facial benefits.

Waxing, threading and hair removal. These are the services clients book most often, sometimes every two or three weeks. You’ll learn waxing for different body areas, threading for eyebrows and the face, and how to work quickly without compromising on hygiene or comfort. Speed with care is what keeps a parlour’s appointment book full.

Salon management fundamentals. This is the part most short courses skip completely. If you’re planning to run your own parlour, you need to understand how a salon actually works day to day — appointments, hygiene standards, stock, pricing your services and managing your time.

Client consultation and business skills. Technique gets a client into your chair once. Consultation and trust bring her back. You’ll learn how to talk to clients, understand what they really want, recommend honestly, and build the kind of relationship that turns one visit into years of loyalty.

Why Six Months?

I’m often asked, “Didi, itna lamba kyun?” Some academies offer beautician courses in a few weeks.

Here’s my honest answer. You can learn the steps of a facial in a few days. But doing it well, on different skin types, while chatting comfortably with the client and finishing on time — that takes repetition. Six months gives you that repetition.

It also means you practise across seasons. Delhi’s dry winter brings very different skin concerns from the humid monsoon, and wedding season brings its own rush. By the end, you’ve seen how a salon works through all of it.

That’s why the diploma suits anyone aiming to be a senior beautician — someone a salon can hand any client to, on any day.

Who This Course Is Right For

Women planning to open their own parlour. If your goal is to open a parlour at home or in your area, this is the course I recommend. You’ll cover the services your clients will ask for most, plus the management and business side that keeps a parlour running.

Those who want to be senior beauticians. If you want to work in a salon and grow into a senior role, a diploma that covers every core service makes you far more valuable than a single skill.

Homemakers and career changers. Many of my diploma students are women returning to work after years at home, or switching from a completely different field. Flexible batches — morning, afternoon, evening or weekend-only — make six months manageable alongside home and family.

Beauty Culture Diploma vs Shorter Courses

Not everyone needs six months, and I’d rather you choose the right course than the longest one.

If you’re just starting out and want to test the field first, our Beauty Essentials Course (1 month, ₹15,999 onwards) covers waxing, skin knowledge, facials, haircare and professionalism. It’s a good foundation, and many students go on to the diploma afterwards.

If you’re clear that you want to work in one specific area, a focused course may suit you better — like our Hair Styling Course or the Makeup Artist Course.

And to be clear about what the Beauty Culture Course doesn’t include: it focuses on skin, advanced facials, hair removal and salon skills. Professional makeup and haircuts are taught in their own courses. Many parlour owners add the Hair Cutting Course or the Basic Makeup Artist Course after their diploma so they can offer even more services.

Beauty Culture Course Fees and Payment

The Beauty Culture Course fee starts at ₹39,999. Fees can vary slightly by batch.

For a six-month course, instalments make a real difference. You pay a deposit to secure your seat, and the balance is spread across the duration of the course.

There are no hidden charges — no registration fee, no exam fee, no certificate fee. You can see how this compares with our other courses in my guide to beauty course fees in Delhi.

Diploma, Placement Assistance and What Comes After

When you complete the course, you receive a certified diploma from PD Beauty Academy.

Throughout the course, you practise on real clients in our working salon, not just on each other. Batches are small, with a maximum of eight students per trainer.

We also offer placement assistance. We actively connect our students with salons that are hiring. I won’t promise anyone a guaranteed job, but we work hard for every student who puts in the effort.

After the course, you stay part of our lifetime alumni network, with early access to advanced workshops.

Being in Rohini also means students from Pitampura, Shalimar Bagh, Paschim Vihar and across North Delhi can attend regularly without a long commute, which matters a lot over six months. I’ve written more about why choosing a local academy matters.

“Six months sounds long when you start. But I’ve watched so many women walk in unsure of themselves and walk out ready to run their own parlour. That change doesn’t happen in a few weeks. It happens when you’ve done the work, again and again, until it’s yours.”
